A Cute Apron

Hello fellow blog readers!  I have been on vacation and recovering from that vacation recently.  I haven't felt like spending much time with my computer so my blog has been slightly neglected.  Ah, well.  It comes and it goes.  BUT!  I just made the cutest apron ever and I have been inspired to blog about it (or at least show you pictures since I'm not sure how much I have to actually say about the apron itself).

I bought the fabric this June while we were gallivanting around the country.  I stopped into every quilt store I could and bought a little something everywhere.  I bought these fabrics specifically to make an apron.  I wasn't planning on keeping the apron, so now that I'm finished I have an apron with no home to go to.  I'm sure someone will need a gift sometime...or I can try and sell it at my craft fair.

Here it is:

From the side.  I didn't actually tie it tight:

And here is a close up of the adorably appropriate fabric:

I had a few scraps leftover so I thought I would make some coasters for the craft fair.  The coasters consist of two fabric layers with one layer of batting in the middle.  Here is the top with the batting pinned on the back for quilting.

Finished product: they are opposite pinwheels but that's not too important.

The backs are easily usable as well, in case someone doesn't like pinwheels.  They measure about 4 x 4.
