Bandana Bibs

So in my recent Internet journeys I found something called a bandana bib.  I saw it on a baby and thought, 'I have a spitter.  I wonder if this would catch the spit better than a regular bib.'  So I searched for a free pattern and got to work.  You can find the pattern here. Well, It was rather simple so I made a bunch of them.

Here are the two pieces that make the bandana bib.

Then you have to pin them together and make those two pieces fit each other.  It's easier than it looks but you do have to make your own pleats.  The best part is that after you are finished sewing you can put in a snap to close it.  If you put in a "real" snap, then that means using a hammer which felt great for all of my pent up tension!  Bonus too because the baby can't pull off a snap as easily as velcro.

And here is my little bandit, modeling the bib.  It doesn't wash up as cute but it still has the extra fabric there that is great for my expert spitter.

Here are the bibs that I've finished so far.  I have a few more cut out and ready to sew too.

  1. Those are really cute on! I saw them in the store and they are like $7 for one and the first thing I thought of was a dog coming out of the groomers. We may have to get ourselves a sewing maxhine so we can start making cute things
