An Easter Skirt for Me

I was sewing a sweet little Easter dress for my daughter when someone suggested that I needed something new for Easter too.  Well I knew I didn't have very much time to accomplish such a task but I had just found the perfect fabric at Savers for $2.00.  So I got to work in the hopes that I would have the time and energy to complete it...and I did (or I wouldn't be writing about it right?).

I made my basic ruffle skirt.  I think I have made at least 15 of these in my lifetime.  I only have a few right now because I donate them when they don't suit me anymore.  They really only take about 2 hours to make from cutting to finished.  That was true this time too though I had to take two days to do it.  Here it is...very boring but I like the fabric and I liked the sewing.
Here is a close up of the fabric.  Delicate purple flowers...what could be better?
And just because I had the supplies I made these sweet button cover earrings from the same fabric to go with it (first time ever making button cover earrings).  I have a purple top and will be decked out in my favorite color come Easter!
