Ever since I was young I have liked half-aprons. However, they are not as practical as a full apron seeing as I usually spill food above my waist when I'm eating or cooking. But that doesn't stop me from making them and enjoying them. Here is the apron I started on Saturday and finished on Monday. I made a big mistake at about 6:30 on Saturday night and decided to stop and start again. What is difficult in the evening is easy peasy in the morning.
When I started to cut out this pretty little thing I found that I didn't actually have enough fabric for the pattern. What! Panic! But it was a short-lived panic. I decided to cut out what I could and improvise later. Actually, it was only the tie-strings that I had to improvise and it turned out well if you ask me.
Just a close-up to see the fabric a little better. I love ruffles and I love contrast. My mom helped me pick out the pink fabric and I bought the blue fabric in UT last spring.
Super cute!
ReplyDeleteCute cute cute!
ReplyDeleteLove the pink fabric accent you used above each pocket. The two fabrics compliment each other really well. :)
