Lower and Upper Chimney Rock Hike

So we decided to go hiking while in Sedona.  When they say that you can go hiking in Sedona, they mean it.  The map is covered in trails and they are everywhere (all the yellow highlighted things indicate trails).  How could we choose just one???

We did just choose one though, the lower and upper chimney rock hike.  It was about 2 miles combined and it was just a 5 minute drive to the trailhead from our hotel.  I also chose it because it was part of the thunder mountain trailhead and we all know that my favorite Disneyland ride is the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ride.  And so we set off!  Here are the best pictures from the hike.  A lot of them are of chimney rock, but also of the Sedona landscape.

Here is Sugarloaf, which was right next to Chimney Rock.

Me with Chimney Rock in the background.  We kept getting closer and closer to it as the hike progressed.

Sedona; you can see all the houses nestled below us.

Chimney Rock; a closer view.

This is part of Capitol Butte which was behind Chimney Rock.

A view of Sedona.  The clouds were awesome.

A wider view of the same picture.  Luckily this is my blog so I can put as many duplicate pictures on here as I want to.
