Well, I got about 8 new cookie cutters for Christmas and then I got a President's Day present from my soon-to-be sister-in-law: can you imagine a President's day gift!? I loved it and couldn't wait to use it. See if you can see them in the picture:
As a housewife (and regular person), I have to limit my intake of the delicious things I bake. Consequently, I have made a rule that I only make sugar cookies once a year at Christmas. I have absolutely no self-control when it comes to these cookies. They are my ultimate comfort food. Well, my niece and I were talking and she mentioned the helicopter cookie cutter she got me and said I could make some for her birthday...obviously I obliged. I tried really hard to get rid of all these cookies without eating them all, but I must have had like 15 or so before they were all gone. They are so good! Which cookie cutter from the picture is your favorite?
Is that an Abe Lincoln I see in there??
ReplyDeleteYour cookies look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteWhat frosting recipe did you use? I dont have a size 2 or 1 tip - I am getting those on my trip next week. Necessary for those detailed lines! (Oh, frog)
ReplyDeleteI used the frosting recipe in my head, silly. I was born with it, you know. I used a number 2 and 3 tip for the outlines.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the Arizona cookie with the saguaro on it. :-}
ReplyDeleteI like the USA cookie!
