Batter Up!

I recently watched A League of Their Own and thought about what a great movie it was, and what a great program the AAGPBL was; it really was ahead of it's time.  Do you see women playing baseball today?  Not really, but there was a time in American history that they did play ball for us; and they were popular.  As a result of my movie watching, I found this book called A Whole New Ball Game by Sue Macy.  It is a short history of the league with some awesome pictures and even some of the baseball cards that were released of the women.  In this book you can get the real story, similar to the movie, but you know how movies compare to books sometimes.  It was a quick read and written in a concise manner by an author who had done her research.  Enjoy!
