Pillow Shams

I bet you thought I was out of commission!  Never fear...I have been hard at work.  Needless to say, I have not sewn in about two weeks, but that all changed this very day.  I have been working hard trying to play catch-up on some things and finally I think I caught up.  So here are my pillow shams.

My mom made us this bed quilt for our wedding and it is awesome.  I got to choose out the fabrics and my mom put it together and quilted it.  It is spectacular, as you can tell.  She also happened to give me the scraps that were leftover from the quilt.  It was with these scraps that I made my pillow shams.  It was actually pretty difficult to get all the pieces for two shams.  I had to take apart some of the blocks my mother had already sewn.  Very labor intensive, I tell ya. 

So I finished them today and stuffed the extra pillows we have into them (we have like 10 extra pillows!) and I think they look pretty good.  Notice how I made them the opposite of the quilt with the blue in the center going out to purple.  I just wish they were a little bigger.
