It's a Bear's Paw

As some of you know, I went on a shop hop with my mom up in the Pacific Northwest.  It was amazing...17 quilt stores in 3 days.  So...much...fabric.

This is a pattern that my mom bought me.  It came as a kit, complete with fabric.  Normally I don't like to buy kits because I like to choose my own fabrics and, to me, the outcome is always dubious.  But I decided to use the fabrics just as a trial; in case I screw up or something.  Here's how it looks.  It is a classic Bear's Paw block with some four-square triangles on the side.  I liked the result even though I didn't choose the fabrics.  Anyone else of the same opinion?

I don't know.  Now that I look at it on my screen I'm not sure if I like it as much.  Maybe that's just a trick of the camera.

  1. Really like the pattern, but not the fabrics-especially the print. Make it again with colors you love. :-}
