Cooking

We all know that stereotypical Mormon housewives love to cook dinner for their loved ones every night.  It gives them no greater pleasure than to see their family devour the delicious concoction of the evening meal.  I, too, cook a great deal but I have far to go before I have that rewarding feeling that so many stereotypical wives have.  And maybe I don't cook every night either.  Just this week I decided to try a new recipe that I found in a magazine entitled: Moroccan-style Lamb and Chick-peas.  My first bite was an explosion of different flavors: cumin, lemon, lamb, cinnamon, cilantro.  The explosion, however, was a little too explosive.  My stomach roiled trying to decide whether this was a good thing or a bad thing.  My husband, being the supportive man he is, ate some.  I have had the leftovers and still get that roiling feeling.  I can be assuaged that my concoction looked exactly like the one in the picture so at least my cooking skills are pretty good.

  1. I have found that a little bit of cinnamon goes a long way in savory dishes. Bring on the Pepto!
