Vafler!

Every stereotypical housewife knows the importance of waffles in her household; especially on Saturday mornings.  They just make breakfast that much better.  Add some fresh-squeezed orange juice and there's nothing to compare it to.  Well, I got a new waffle iron for Christmas and it makes super-special waffles...it makes Norwegian waffles!  I got out my handy "Den Norske Misjons Kokebok" and found the recipe for Norwegian waffles and it totally worked!

I had yummy waffles made in the Norwegian style; that is, very floppy so they can be folded over with jam in the middle.  You can see the interesting shape they make too.
