I was reminded today that part of repentance is also forgiving others. I was reading in Mosiah in the Book of Mormon and the Lord is speaking to Alma and he said this "Yea, and as often as my people repent will I forgive them their trespasses against me. And ye shall also forgive one another your trespasses: for verily I say unto you, he that forgiveth not his neighbor's trespasses when he says that he repents, the same hath brought himself under condemnation." Mosiah 26:30-31
So, I need to remember that I have to forgive everyone despite anything they did to me, and hopefully they will forgive me too. And it is up to the Lord to judge people of their sincerity, not me.
You are so right! Everyday, I pray to have a more forgiving heart. When you forgive, your life is so much more peaceful. :-}
