My New Skirt

Happy Memorial Day!  Joann's gives a 20% military discount for Memorial Day and I figured I would take advantage of it.  You know, honor our military forces by sewing something pretty.  I'm not sure how Memorial Day became such a big sale day, but that, I guess, is the commercialization of America.  I went on Friday night and got some fabric and accoutrament for a new skirt.  I had a sewing party on Saturday night and needed a project.  This skirt is so super simple.  It took me only 4 hours from start to finish.  The extras make it special; otherwise it would just be another boring skirt.
