A New Purse?

My beloved purse is soon to go the way of all the world.  I love my purse.  I bought it for $5 at Wal-mart in 2006 and oh, how I wish I had bought a second one that day.  I will love and use it to the bitter end.  For the past year or so I have been on a quest to find a near identical purse but, alas, to no avail!  I enlisted my mom's help, and we found a pattern that resembles my purse.

I purchased the pattern and the necessary fabric, and today I spent two and a half hours creating it, from start to finish.  I don't know if it will be an adequate replacement for the purse but it was fun to sew and quilt and create this masterpiece.  It is all purple even if my camera is telling you it is bluish.


So is it a good likeness of the pattern?  I thought so.  And take a look at my optional zipper closure.  Insert oooos and ahhhhs here please.

    That is a very cute purse! Have you checked out the Vera Bradley collection? She has some purses that look a lot like that, however they are way more expensive then $5.00.
