A Tour of Temples

Temples are an important part of being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  In the temple we make covenants (agreements) between ourselves and God that help bring us blessings that we so desire through our faithfulness.  They are different from regular meetinghouses, where we have church every Sunday.  If you want to know more about why we build temples and what happens in temples, visit this website. There are 139 operating temples world wide and I have been to many of them.  In fact, that's why I'm writing.  I have been to so many new temples this year that I just had to share!  All temples have the same functions so it is not fair to say that one temple is better than another one, but they all look different and are pretty in their own way.

In March, I went to the Las Vegas temple with my sister-in-law

In June, I went to the Portland, Oregon temple with a friend of mine

In July, I went to the Vancouver, British Columbia temple with my parents

I also went to the St. Louis temple in July since I was there for the Gatrell family reunion

In October I visited the Albuquerque, New Mexico temple

And just yesterday, I visited the Gila Valley Temple in the Thatcher/Safford area of Arizona

  1. Stop bragging! I haven't been to nearly that many - let's see - Oakland, LA, Seattle, DC, Snowflake, Vancouver, Newport Beach, SLC, Provo, and Manti - but that was over the years. I've got to step up my Temple game! :-}
