Spider Pops

A few months ago my mom found this great idea on pinterest so I decided to do it for my husband and his co-workers.  Just so you know, unstereotypically, I don't peruse pinterest but my mom does send me cute pictures from time to time.  I bought the pipe cleaners, googly eyes and the tootsie pops.  I got out my hot glue gun.  I commenced the creation of spider pops.  Everything was going fine until one fateful purple googly eye.  I felt the hot glue starting to burn my finger.  I tried to get it off.  The googly eye then adhered itself to my middle finger and that hurt like crazy.  I tried to get it off.  It jumped to my ring finger.  In all, I think that five of my fingers felt the heat of that glue but only one blistered (and has since healed).  How I wish I could've taken a picture of a purple googly eye adhered to my flesh.  After all this I ran over to the sink to get some cold water on the burn.  Ha, Ha!  Guess where I live-the only thing coming out of the tap was lukewarm water so I gave up.  Here are the cute pops.  My husband said his co-workers really enjoyed them which made it all worth while.
