I went back to Michael's to get green glitter paint the next week (because then I would have a coupon) and they didn't have any! The audacity of it all. I settled for gold paint because everybody thinks red and green and gold are Christmas colors. I got out my mom's trusty paint brushes that I have been using for years and are old, decrepit, and barely serviceable (there is a reason she left them behind after all) and began! It was a little difficult to paint the outside without touching the outside, but luckily, my finger fit in the hole and I had all these paint brushes lying around for drying them.
Here are the results. They have to "cure" for 21 days (whatever that means because when I see cure I think meat) so I hung them on this closet rod that we weren't using (don't you have one too?) and then added the gold bows with my trusty hot-glue gun. What do you think?
I did those circles by hand and purposefully made them different sizes.
I love them! Good job! :-}
ReplyDeleteI really like these!
ReplyDeleteI kinda want to make glass ornaments now! (Well I'm making a few but mostly to give to family.)
ReplyDeleteI'm assuming you painted the hearts and gold circles on the outside. Does it hold up well or does it scratch off easily? They look lovely.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to do the glass ornaments too...never got around to it. They turned out nice, very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThey look great!
