Cinderella Princess Dress

A few months ago my sister asked me if I could make my niece, who is turning four, a princess dress.  I said yes and went out and bought a pattern and fabric.  I have been working hard and am very excited about my results.  Here is some of the process.

Here is the cute bodice with no sleeves.

Here I added on the little decorative bustle things on the sides.  I thought this picture looked a little funny.  It's hard to imagine the finished product at this point.

Here I've added the skirt and now it looks a little more like it should.  Still no sleeves.

And here we have sleeves and it looks a lot more like the princess dress I was trying to create.

And here I've added a little trim for sparkly purposes.  In fact, the whole dress is sparkly but you can't really see it in the pictures.

And here's a close up of the trim and bodice.  Now I just have to iron and trim threads and maybe some other things.  I sure hope it fits her too.

And here is the real Cinderella.  I think I got pretty close.  No gloves though but it's hot where she lives so she probably wouldn't wear them anyway.

Now before you go ordering your next princess dress from me, think again.  This probably won't become a common occurrence for me since I don't have patterns for all the princess dresses.  Now I'm off to work on something new!
