So I can tell you that I am an overachiever. You may not know it, but I am (in most ways). It just so happened that one in March, I went to a quilt store about 30 minutes from my house which I do not frequent very often. While there, I bought some cute fabrics and instantly had a fabulous idea. As I'm sure you can guess, it had to do with Christmas cards.
*Note: I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the Beatrix Potter. I just love Beatrix Potter.
I saw that traditional Christmas fabric and immediately thought, 'Post Cards!' And the idea was born. I have since cut them up into individual squares and am planning on putting bead accents on each one. Then I will sew the fabric onto some cardstock. Never fear, I will be sending these in envelopes. I'm not sure how many I'll get done this year but I've already finished two and they are awesome! I don't have that many so don't be sad if you don't get one of these in the mail.
As some of you know, I took a beading class last month. Now I will hone my newly acquired skills. Here is a close up of some of the beads...if you can see them. I don't want to go crazy because the beads are just accents and I'm really just practicing and I want to get them done; not start a project I will never finish.
You're nuts. I'm getting one right?
ReplyDeleteYour creativity never ceases to amaze me! I'd better get one too! :-}
