Smoothies

About 2 months ago I decided to stop buying flavored yogurt because it is full of sugar and has chemicals listed on the ingredients.  So I started buying plain yogurt and throwing it in fruit/green smoothies every day.  Depending on the week, my smoothies contain lettuce, kale, zucchini, or spinach.  I tried broccoli but that didn't go well.  The majority of these smoothies is fruit though.  Lots of fruit to balance out that green stuff.  So while I have been enjoying some good fruit smoothies with some greens in them, today I experienced a whole new smoothie.  It actually turned out green!  Run for your lives!

Here's what was inside: zucchini, kale, plain yogurt, mango, blueberries, strawberries, and a pear.  So it was still sweet even though it turned out green.  I survived the experience quite well.

Speaking of green smoothies, I am now going to embark on a new eating pattern, namely not as many sweets.  You, my faithful blog readers, may experience a decrease in blogs about baked goods and an increase in creative cooking methods.  We'll see what happens.
