Little Quilts

When I go on vacation I shop for fabric.  I look for quilt stores I might be passing by in out-of-the-way places.  I always look to see if there's a quilt store where I'm staying.  In the latest case, I found that Moab had a small quilt store.  I took a stroll through and found that it was, indeed, a very small quilt store.  They had a little bit of everything and a lot of nothing, if that makes sense.  I ended up getting two fat quarters of some cute Moda fabric.  Here's what I made:

The two fat quarters I purchased were the yellow with flowers and the green plaid.  The turquoise I had laying around in my sewing room.  Here's the first one I made.

And here's the second.

And here they are together and finished.  It took only 3 fat quarters to make both of these plus some backing fabric and batting.  I could probably have made three little quilts but I didn't want to put the green and turquoise together.  They are approximately 13 x 13 inches.  I have no idea what I'm going to do with them: give them as gifts, hang them on the wall, put them away and forget I have them...who knows?  But I sure did enjoy making them.
