You Just Thought I Was Done

I bet you thought I was done with all my vacation photos.  Ha!  I took over 500 pictures in a two week span.  You have seen just a small amount of them.  I will continue with this post by finally finishing the photos from Moab.

First, as we drove through the middle of nowhere to get to Moab, we stopped every now and then to take a picture.  Sometimes we didn't stop to take them and just took them from the car.

This is beautiful Monument Valley.  You may think this picture is blurry: it is not.  It was extremely windy and dusty here.

Out of the dust and wind storms as we move through Utah.  It was around here that I got a dust particle on the sensor of my point and shoot camera.  That dust particle is right in the middle of the shot and it was so annoying for the entire trip.  Luckily, I bought a plan with it so hopefully they will fix it or send me money for a new one.

Second, we were able to drive most of the scenic view in Arches National Park so here are some scenes that have not already been depicted.

Here are the petrified sand dunes.

Here are some arches in the Windows section of the park.

A pretty scene.

Third, we were able to take a scenic drive along the Colorado river which runs directly through Moab.  One lesser known fact is that the Colorado river was only known as the Colorado south of the confluence with the Green river.  North of that the river was known as the Grand river.  We did the drive near sunset to get some pretty shots.

I love taking pictures of our car and the scenery.  It looks so small compared to the formations around it.

A pretty sunset.

  1. Your photos are beautiful! I know in part it is the photographer taking the photo, but what kind of camera are you using? The colors are so vibrant!
