Here's Another New Skirt!

Big surprise!  I've made another skirt!  Stop the presses everyone because this is news!  It happened one warm evening when I thought, 'hey, when's the last time I made a skirt?'  And, of course it had been so long that I could not even remember.  So I got out some fabric (that I have no idea where it came from; except I know I didn't buy it) and got to work.  It was a very simple skirt to make except that I didn't really have a pattern for it, so I made one up from something I already had.  I just had to add about 9 inches to the bottom and cut it out lengthwise so the stripe would be vertical and hope that cutting out the back on the fold and putting the zipper in the side seam would work out.  Yeah, just those few changes.  And then it just so happened that it was almost too small!  How could I!?  I haven't made something too small in ages; but it does fit, so I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Here's a close up of the embroidery.  It is blue, red, and goldish.
