This blog will include descriptions of all the really cool stuff I think I do. Maybe you'll think some of it is cool too.

The Telling Pool
The Telling Pool by David Clement-Davies is a good book if you like Arthurian legend. It is not actually about Arthur and his posse but about a boy who wants to believe in those stories. The time period is unknown, but is sometime in the Middle Ages. The book starts with Rhodri, the main character, at about age 13 and follows him until about age 17. He goes on adventure, he meets friend and foe, he learns the ways of men. This is a coming of age story that also hits on themes of friendship, loyalty, family and love. There is mention of Wiccan and also of Christianity and how the two are different. There is violence and threat of violence but no language. I must confess, however, that I didn't read every word in this book. I skipped descriptions to get to the dialogue when the descriptions got a little boring, but I still felt that I enjoyed the book and can recommend it to you.
