Sewing

So I took a break from sewing clothes for myself but I just got back into the swing of things.  I was so depressed about not being able to wear something new for Easter that I made a new skirt and blouse this week (and it's only Wednesday!).  I do confess to choosing the simplest patterns I have for both.  I made the skirt on Monday and Tuesday and the blouse took me a whole two and a half hours from start to finish today.  Even I was surprised that I finished it so quickly.

I'm not sure why I was drawn to this fabric but I was.  Neither of the pictures really captures the true color of it, but oh well.  It just seemed unique to me in color and design.  

Here it is with the peasant blouse I made today.  Sorry you can't really see the neckline but trust me, it's cute.  I added a little something to the blouse too...I put elastic in the hem to make it poof a little more.  I have a blouse almost identical to this one but it is a little too big so I'm excited to have a replacement that actually fits.
