It's Biscuit Time!

For anyone who is a Grant or knows a Grant, you know how important biscuits are at a meal.  They are the bread of breads.  So every good housewife who is a Grant, knows how to make these all important biscuits.  Well I was getting the meat out of the freezer to make dinner and what did I see???  Some of the strawberry freezer jam that I made in July.  And what does a good housewife think of when she sees freezer jam???  The delicious biscuits on which she can put said freezer jam.  So biscuits it would be tonight.

It is crucial when making biscuits to also choose the appropriate shape for the biscuit based on any upcoming holidays or special events.  This might range from snowflakes to bunny rabbits to birthday cakes to the United States to pirate ships.  Well, anything goes.  Tonight it was gingerbreadmen...but can you really call them gingerbreadmen if they aren't made from gingerbread?

  2. Tanya!!!! You don't know what freezer jam is?? Oh you are missing out. Do you like strawberries? Freezer jam is an easy way to make homemade jam. You use a pectin that you buy at the store. That's what makes it solidify. You get your favorite fruit and mash it up, add sugar, stir, add pectin and freeze. It is good for up to one year in your freezer so you can eat fresh jam all year! Yum! Right now I have apricot and strawberry.
