Block of the Month

I was in the quilt store a couple of weeks ago spending some Christmas money.  I originally went in there for a log cabin ruler which I've wanted for a few months (and I did buy it).  I saw their block-of-the-month quilt and loved it.  Block-of-the-month is kind of like a class or club.  You pay an initial fee to get some fabric and a pattern.  If you do your homework, ie. make the blocks, then you get the next pattern and fabric free.  This one goes for 10 months and you make 20 blocks.  This morning after I ran errands I decided that today would be a craft/sewing day since I've been working hard organizing this place and I needed a real break.  So I sewed my four blocks.  They are all the same but oriented differently.  For the next 9 months I get to make two blocks a month.

  1. I love it-can I have the pattern?

  2. I suppose I'll keep it out for you. I like it because it is an optical illusion. I first thought the blue were all squares and thought 'how in the world did they do that!'
