Reading

Not much crafting has been going on this week (at least not that I can share right now), but I recently finished reading an excellent fantasy book called The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima.  It sounds fierce, I know, but it was very good.  It is the first in a series of three books with The Exiled Queen and The Gray Wolf Throne.  As I said, it is a fantasy and it follows the story alternatively of an almost sixteen year old boy, and an almost sixteen year old princess.  It takes place in a mythical world and contains themes of wizardry, loyalty, thievery, and betrayal.  It does not contain any harsh language or gratuitous sex.  There is a small amount of violence (this is not really a spoiler, but people are killed) but no great war or battle.  Cinda Williams Chima also wrote a great series: The Warrior Heir, The Wizard Heir, and The Dragon Heir.  These Heir Chronicles take place in a more modern setting, but are still quite fantastical.
