I was reading a talk this morning that mentioned Samuel but it was really about how the Lord has called young boys to be prophets. He called Joseph of Egypt to represent Him. He also called Samuel, a very young boy, to be a prophet. David was also quite young when Samuel annointed him King. In the Book of Mormon, it was Mormon who was called as a ten year old to become the holder of ancient record. So the talk relates how it was not odd that young men were called in ancient times to become prophets and leaders; then why not Joseph Smith? I had never noticed that pattern before and now it makes even more sense to me that such a young boy was called to restore the gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth again.
This blog will include descriptions of all the really cool stuff I think I do. Maybe you'll think some of it is cool too.

Religious Study
I am learning about the books of Samuel right now in the Old Testament. Did you know that Samuel died before 2 Samuel even starts? Odd that they would name a second book for a prophet that isn't even around anymore. Anyway.
