Thought of the Sunday 20

Here are a few of my favorite scriptures from the book of Psalms.  They are not topic oriented and I just felt like sharing.  Enjoy.

Psalms 9:10  "And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee."

Psalms 34:4  "I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears."

Psalms 48:14  "For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even unto death."

Psalms 62:8  "Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us."

Psalms 104:33  "I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being." 

Psalms 145:9  "The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works."

Now that I've typed all these scriptures out and read them in order, it seems that there is a theme here.  Trust in the Lord, seek Him, praise Him, and He will guide us and be a refuge for us.  When we trust in God, bad things become not so bad, and we gain perspective as to why things happen.  When we seek Him, we can become more like Him and seek to do His will and be obedient.  When we are obedient, He will bless us and show us His tender mercies.  These scriptures make me so grateful for the goodness of our God and for His loving kindness and compassion for me and all my issues.  I hope they help you feel the same.
