A Quilt for Charity

I started playing a game of bingo with my local quilt store.  The bingo squares have different tasks on them and one of them was to make a quilt to give to charity.  I really wanted to use fabric I had on hand so I looked through my southwest fabrics, which I mostly inherited from my mom so I have no attachment to them.  I came up with this very simple design.  After I finished it I thought that it was actually pretty and was kind of sad that I have to give it away.  Oh well.  Someone else can enjoy it, I'm sure.

Here is the full quilt.  It measures 43 x 56.  It was required to be 40 x 54 so I just made it.

Here is a close up of the fabric.

And here is the gorgeous, colorful fabric I used for the backing.  I have some of this leftover so hopefully I can make something spectacular with it sometime.  It doesn't exactly match the front but it is southwestern so that's good enough.
