Craft Fair Goals

Ever since my last craft fair (last December) I have wanted to be part of a craft fair that reaches a larger audience.  The most obvious one is a craft fair that occurs every weekend just around the corner from my house.  During November and December, it costs $30 for a table.  The rest of the year it only costs $10 ($15 if you want a table).  I thought to myself, 'what day am I available that is the closest to November without having to pay the holiday cost?'  I settled on October 11.  I signed up and paid my fee yesterday, to the dismay of the organizer.  She said, "It's only July!"  I said (while thinking 'tomorrow is August, my friend') it was psychological.  If I don't commit to it and pay my fee then I won't do it, so she let me pay.

This week I have been working on craft fair items.  I started some Halloween and Fall/Thanksgiving ornaments.  Here are my finished products.

I also watched a few documentaries this week and enjoyed some hand sewing...that's right, the buttonhole stitch: my stitch of the year.  I made some more of the little felt ornaments I made a while back...this time in Christmas and Valentine's colors.  Here are the finished products.  They are mostly a little different from each other.  They are lightly stuffed so they do have some volume.  I love hearts (apparently)!
