After my last sewing debacle I needed to make something that would be cute and easy. I needed to make a skirt. I found some fabric I bought about 4 years ago at Joann's and got to work. The fabric was a sort of stiff polyester so it may not have been the ideal match for the pattern I chose, but that's okay. It still turned out cute and ruffly (because it has a ruffle, of course!). Here is the fabric. It's a little lighter than the picture shows but you get the idea...cute flowers!
And here is the skirt I made. In the light, it looks really light and you can barely see the purple, but it's there. I can wear this to church on Sunday and be satisfied that I have not lost all of my sewing skills with my previous project. Each successful project and result will thankfully help me to forget my great mistake from last week. Doesn't my shirt totally match?
No. No it doesn't match.
