Spritz Cookies

Congratulate me please.  This week I made the last of the desserts I will be making for our big party.  I used up all my butter, all my sugar, and all my flour with the added bonus of using up three of my sprinkles containers.  I'd say I'm doing pretty good getting rid of my food.

Here is my empty sugar tub.  I have been using this sugar tub since I first started baking as an adolescent.  I don't know if I have ever seen it empty.  I put it in the dishwasher and am hoping that it comes out alright since I'm not sure if it has ever been washed.  Pretty exciting.

I used up all my flour but technically I didn't have enough to make these cookies.  As you can see, I am missing about 1/4 cup.  Luckily, the dough is a little forgiving and I was able to make them without a problem.

My three empty sprinkles containers.  Sprinkles are the gifts that keep on giving...sometimes you feel that you will never, ever use up any of them.  See the next picture to see how exciting my cookies are, complete with tons of sprinkles.

The finished batch of cookies.  Since I made an entire recipe I decided to have fun and use most of the shapes.  These days I usually just use one or two shapes and decorate them all the same, but this was much more fun.  I made hearts, camels, dogs, Christmas trees, butterflies, spades, and clubs.
