Thought of the Sunday 9

One of my favorite songs that our Primary children (ages 3-11) sing has these words, "I feel my Savior's love in all the world around me.  His Spirit warms my soul through everything I see.  He knows I will follow Him, give all my life to Him.  I feel my Savior's love; the love He freely gives me.  I feel my Savior's love.  It's gentleness enfolds me.  And when I kneel to pray, my heart is filled with peace.  He knows I will follow Him, give all my life to Him.  I feel my Savior's love; the love He freely gives me."

This is how I felt this weekend as I wandered around Chiricahua National Monument, which contains some of God's wondrous creations.  I looked around me and knew that He was there.  God is in everything that is good and beautiful and He reminds me of it when I see the beauty of the world.  What is beautiful in this world to you?  For me sunrises, sunsets, the night sky, trees swaying in the breeze, nature, flowers, my husband, my life, music, children playing happily, beautiful weather, delicious food, etc.  There are so many wonderful things and I can feel my Savior's love through them all.

I also felt his love and peace as I went to the temple in Mesa this weekend.  I felt like He knew me and my specific personality.  He knew what I needed and when.  He always knows this and He will always take care of me.  When I realize this it makes my so grateful and inspires me to follow Him more obediently.  Our Heavenly Father knows you too.  You can feel His love and gentleness in everything you see.  I hope as we travel through life we can always see the good around us and receive these gentle reminders that God is real and that He loves us.
