My Christmas Skirt

So I bought fabric about 6 years ago that I intended to make into a Christmas skirt...you know, just a skirt I could wear to work or whatever that was festive and cute.  Of course, it would need a ruffle.  So my Christmas fabric stared at me for about six years.  It taunted me, it tried hard to get me to make it and I just never listened.  Until this month!  About two months ago I panicked because I didn't have anything to wear at Christmas time.  Nothing fit me anymore and I had gotten rid of anything remotely Christmas-y.  I went shopping and looked for fabrics but didn't like anything I saw.

About a week ago, in this frazzled state of mind, That's when I remembered my Christmas fabric that I packed into a box a year and a half ago and never unpacked.  If only I could find that fabric quickly!  I went searching in the morning one day and found it almost immediately.  About two hours later, I had my Christmas skirt.  About 30 minutes after I finished it, it debuted at the children's holiday party I was in charge of.  Since then I have worn it at least four times.  I think I might need to make another one so I can interchange them and not wear this one out so quickly.
