This chapter contains one of the most famous scriptures among Mormons: Moses 1:39, "For behold, this is my work and my glory; to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." Pretty awesome words. The Sunday School teacher said, after reading the verse, that when God gets up on Monday morning, this is what He is focused on: us. She put the context into my everyday life and it meant a lot more to me. It reminded me that God really does know me and that He is interested in me personally. I know that He knows me, my name, my struggles and my triumphs. And He knows you too.

"For behold, this is my..." I believe you might have misquoted. Maybe. My brain is mush. Wait, I'll just look it up. Yep, I was right.
ReplyDeleteI know I know thats not the point, but my type A took over.
I taught the same lesson and I really learned a lot. I didn't know that Moses needed to have this experience. I also was surprised that he tried to cast out Satan 3 times, before he got it correct. I had a lot of input from the class-it turned out to be a great lesson for me and I hope, for the rest of the class. :-}
